The church meets every Sunday* at 9.15am, 11am and 6pm for our Sunday Services. It helps to get there 15 minutes early to get a parking spot, coffee and seat in time for the service to start (though coffee is also available throughout the services too!).
We meet at:
St Martin's Church, Church Street, Liskeard, Cornwall PL14 3AQ
There is parking available at the front and rear of the church as well as in the church car park.
At all of our services, you can expect a warm welcome, great worship, an impacting message and endless tea and coffee!
If you choose to attend the 9.15am service you will find that this is the more formal of our services, filled with rich hymns sung by our choir and accompanied by our resident organist, Chris Howarth. We use Common Worship in modern language. On the first and fourth Sundays, we share communion.
The 11am service offers a more modern service with contemporary worship, a variety of praise bands and opportunities for reflective prayer. After the meeting finishes there will an be opportunity for prayer if needed. On the third sunday of the month we share communion together. During this service we also have a fantastic programme for children and youth of all ages:
Creche (0 to 3 years) - this is within the Church so that parents can stay and participate in the service
Bible Tots (4–7 years)
Bible Explorers (8–11 years)
Youth Group (12-18)
Children stay with their parents at the start of the service as we worship together for the first part of the morning. Someone will announce when the children need to go to their groups. You are welcome to go with your children the first time they attend and until they settle in. For more information about what happens in the children's work please visit the Children's Ministry page.
*On the fifth sunday, we merge both morning services for our United Benefice service, which combines the flavours of both as well as drawing in church family from the other churches in our parish. Communion is always shared during this service.
The 6pm services are different each week, providing a rich variety of ways to connect with God - and each other. The service typically takes one of the following forms:
Focus on Prayer - a reflective service utilising different styles of prayer
Healing Service - including a time of Communion
Praise Service (every fifth Sunday) - contemporary worship led by a local praise band, teaching and reflective prayer
Choral Evening Prayer
However, we also occasionally hold special services, including Taize evenings and combined services with other denominations through Liskeard Churches Together
Whatever service you choose to attend you can be sure to find that we're a friendly bunch of people who gather to learn more about God... Come and join us!
